Regulations

For the visitors of the territory of Zvārtes rock

  1. Be respectful of the equipment and exposition of the Visitor centre.
  2. Save the sandstone caves and rocks, trees and bushes and other plants, as well as animals.
  3. Do not climb over the barriers.
  4. Do not make a noise and disturb nature and other visitors.
  5. Throw the garbage only in the dust-bins provided. A nature-friendly advice – take all the picnic packaging and other rubbish with you, do not leave it in the trails, resting place and do not pollute the nature.
  6. It is allowed to smoke only outside the premises of the Visitor centre, in a distance more than 10 metres from the entrance.
  7. It is forbidden to drive in the territory of the Zvārtes rock ouside the barriers of the enclosure with a car, quadracycle or motorbike, except special transport.
  8. Short-term stay in the territory: for users of  tent/resting place, boats and carriage of tourism equipment for an additional fee - 1,00 LVL.
  9. With a tourist trailer or bus it is allowed to drive only into specially designated site - parking place.

10.  It is allowed to drive with bicycles only on the roads of general use. It is forbidden to drive along tourist trails ( Zvārtesrock – Veclauču (Skaļupes) bridge, Kārļu Fish-nursery – Zvārtes rock)due to the damage of the surface of trails and disturbance of pedestrians.

11.  Bicycles are required to be placed in the parking place by the Visitor centre, marked by special signs.

12.  Making a fire is allowed only in specially designated sites.

13.  It is prohibited to cut trees and bushes arbitrary in order to make a firewood. It is advisable to buy firewood or to use a grill.

14.  Owners are responsible for the pets carried with them. It is allowed to carry dogs and other pets only with a leash or in specially-provided bags.

15.  It is forbidden to damage signs of direction, tourism buildings and utilities on purpose.

16.  The staff of the Visitor centre have the rights not to serve the visitors which are drunk or on drugs.

Suggestions about the improvement of the territory send by e-mail zac [at] gnp [dot] lv.

The staff of the Visitor centre has the rights to ask the visitors which do not comply with the regulations to leave the centre, as well as in case of material loss, take the actions specified by the law of damage collection.

Regulations of the use of the tent site

Make reservations in advance by phone +371 29335446, during working time. On working days from 9.00-18.00 and on holidays and public holidays from 9.00-19.00

Leave the tent/resting site till 10.00 a.m. next morning.

You can pay for the resting place in cash.

Well-appointed picnic site, use of the fire place and WC is included in the price for the resting place.

Visit of the teritory is not included in the fee.

Make reservations in advance by phone +371 28328800 and +371 64153313, during working time. On working days from 9.00-18.00 and on holidays and public holidays from  9.00-19.00

Fee for well-appointed resting place 20,00 Ls.

Leave tent/resting place till 10.00 a.m. next morning.

You can pay for the resting place in cash.

Well-appointed picnic site, use of the fire place and WC is included in the price for the resting place.
