Regulations

For the visitors of the Visitor Centre by the Gūtmaņala cave and the territory in its surroundings

  1. Be respectful of the equipment and exposition of the Visitor centre.
  2. Save the sandstone caves and rocks, trees and bushes and other plants
  3. animals.
  4. Do not step over the barriers.
  5. Do not make noise and disturb nature and other visitors.
  6. Leave the rubbish only at the designated place.
  7. A nature-friendly advice – take all the picnic packaging and other rubbish with you, do not leave it in the resting place and do not pollute the nature.
  8. Educate also other visitors with your positive example!
  9. It is allowed to smoke only outside the rooms of the Visitor centre, in a distance more than 10 metres from the entrance.
  10. It is prohibited to drive into the territory of the Gūtmaņala and its surroundings with a car or motorbike, except for the special transport.
  11. It is allowed to drive into specially designated site - parking place only with a tourist trailer or bus.
  12. It is allowed to drive with bicycles only on the roads of general use and along specially established cycling routes.
  13. It is not allowed to drive along the trails which are not established for this purpose due to the damage of the surface of trails and disturbance of pedestrians.
  14. Bicycles are required to be placed in the parking place by the Visitor centre, marked by special signs.
  15. It is allowed to make a fire only in specially designated places (near the river).
  16. It is prohibited to cut trees and bushes arbitrary to make firewood.
  17. It is advisable to buy firewood or to use a grill.
  18. Owners are responsible for the pets carried with them.
  19. It is allowed to carry dogs and other pets only with a leash or in specially-provided bags.
  20. It is prohibited to damage signs of direction, tourism buildings and utilities on purpose.
  21. The employees of the Visitor centre have the rights not to serve the visitors which are drunk or on drugs.

The staff of the Visitor centre has the rights to ask the visitors which do not comply with the regulations to leave the centre, as well as in case of material loss, take the actions specified by the law to collect the damages.

We ask to obey  general rules of ethics and good  conduct , to respect surrounding people, nature and environment
