Opening hours of Gauja National Park Visitor Centres during winter season

The new opening hours and reduced entrance fees of the Gauja National Park tourist sites and Visitor Centres will apply from 1 November 2011 until 30 April 2012.

Visitor Centre in Ligatne Nature Trails will be open from 10am to 5pm on working days, from 10am to 6 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Fee for the visit of the trails remains the same.

Visitor Centre by the Gutmans Cave will be open from 10am to 5pm on working days, from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Let’s celebrate European Day of Parks!

For the twelfth time open days are held in Gauja National Park and other protected areas in Europe, as well as different events organized to introduce the community to the importance of environmental protection, nature values and rarities. This year the celebration will take place on 21st of May in the old valley of the Gauja River, by Gutmans cave.

By the Visitor Centre of Gutmans cave and in the surrounding area from 1.00 am until 3.00 pm visitors will have the opportunity to learn how natural observations or public monitoring is carried out.

New Working hours and souvenirs at the Visitor Centres of Gauja National Park

From May 1st starts summer season in tourist attractions and Visitor Centres of the Gauja National Park. Working hours are extended to adapt to the flow of the visitors.

 

Visitor Centre by the Gutmans cave

Visitor Centre will be open 7 days a week from 9.00am to 7.00pm and will have extended working hours until 8.00pm.
