Although winter has just begun, the old and unique means of transportation across the Gauja River - ferry in Ligatne continues to operate. Please note, from 1st December ferry runs from 8am to 5pm.
In winter working hours are subject to change. The ferry shortly closes only when the river freezes over or floodwaters are very high. Therefore, please, follow information on www.gnp.lv or call Ligatne Nature Trails Visitor Centre: +371 64153313; +371 28328800 (during working hours) to check the ferry’s working hours.
